I know this sounds unbelievably simple but these lands are filled with consultants that don’t do either of these. Sure, they may say that they do, but when push comes to shove they don’t.
In fact, this really has nothing to do with consulting. It’s just good communication. By ensuring that you take action right away and keep to your promises, not only will your consulting clients be surprised, impressed and happy with your service – they’ll quickly come to see that you’re someone that walks the walk and doesn’t just talk the talk.
Be default this means that you’re a better consultant. Sure, there are many other factors, but most clients prefer working with a professional that can get the job done, over an unprofessional and hard to get a hold of consultant that can do the same work.
